The Print Show in Birmingham reported a 12% rise in attendance, 4% before one adjustment. Impressions Expo Dallas follows this issue. Then the calendar to 2028 and reference links.

PRINTING United Expo, Las Vegas, 23 to 25 September

Section 01 reports the show: the organiser’s preliminary figures and why they do not reconcile with its own 2025 release, what was new on the floor and what was only new to the hall, and the numbers that came with it.

The Print Show, Birmingham, 29 September to 1 October

The Print Show and The Sign Show, co-located in Hall 1 of the NEC, report a final attendance of 5,567 against 5,336 the year before, a rise of 4%. The 12% in the headlines excludes about 350 visitors who came in 2025 through a partnership with the PPMA Show. Against 5,336 less 350, which is 4,986, the rise is 11.7% (our division), so the two figures reconcile once the exclusion is stated. Large Format Review’s headline uses the 12%, and the organisers’ own headline leads with 5,500. The organisers’ figure of more than £1m of business is an early indication. One exhibitor, Plockmatic Group, reports £527,000 of orders taken on its stand, so the million-pound total leans on one stand.

Impressions Expo Dallas, 21 to 23 October

The organiser lists Impressions Expo Dallas for 21 to 23 October at the Hilton Anatole, after this issue went out, and Impressions magazine’s preview of 5 October expects more than 120 exhibitors. What exhibitors announce there will be checked against their own pages and reported in Pulse, not previewed here.

Viscom Italia’s page carries no 2027 date, so none is listed. Dates are not frozen. Printwear & Promotion LIVE! gained its dates after the first issue. PRINTING United publishes a calendar to 2031, and its 2030 slot read October 16 to 18 in our own note of 8 September and reads September 18 to 20 on the organiser’s page now.

Organisers are the source for attendance too, because others print larger numbers. A Polish stand builder tells exhibitors that FESPA Global Print Expo 2027 in Munich will reach more than 200,000 visitors from more than 150 countries. FESPA’s own report of the 2026 edition in Barcelona, across six co-located shows, is 24,798 total visits and 15,495 unique visitors. The stand builder’s figure is 8.1 times the first number and 12.9 times the second (our division).

Reference

Glossary. The terms this issue leans on are defined at narrow web, unit production system, automatic press, impressions per hour, cost per print, Delta E, print embellishment, direct-to-object printing, EmpCo and RaaS and pay-per-pick. The full glossary has the rest.

Atlas. The atlas prints each figure with the period it is stated for and the day we read it, in four tables: input costs, what crosses a border, what compliance costs and what the market is said to be worth. The input costs include electricity prices, the natural check on the cure-cost arithmetic in section 02.

Verdicts. The register has a page for each claim checked in section 07: 44, 49, 59, 61, 70 and 73. The register lists every verdict by rating. The weekly source list is in the first issue’s reference section.
