ICC profile.

A file that tells software what an image's colour numbers mean. It comes in two kinds that do different jobs. An output profile is the color characterization of a machine+ink+media combination, the basis of color repeatability across lines and plants. A working-space profile travels inside the image, like the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile Printful asks to find embedded in an upload. Only the second belongs in a file sent to a platform: Prodigi tells sellers not to embed its profiles, because they are for proofing only.
