Sizing mode.

the fill, fit or stretch rule an order API applies when a file's shape misses the product

The per-item setting on an order that tells a print API what to do with an image whose aspect ratio differs from the product's print area. Prodigi spells out three: fillPrintArea, the default, centres and crops the image to cover the whole area; fitPrintArea shrinks it until all of it fits, usually leaving white space on two edges; stretchToPrintArea fills the area by stretching or squashing the image. Prodigi's own dashboard does the opposite of its API default: it never stretches or crops and only offers products that match the file or are smaller. Other platforms make the same decision without asking, by cropping, padding or rejecting the order. An integration that never sets the field gets the default crop, and nobody notices until a portrait comes back with the top of a head missing. Stretch is worse, because distortion on faces and type is plain from across the room.
