Impressions per hour (imp/h).

the rated hourly output of a press, one impression per printed piece

The throughput unit for garment and label presses: one impression is one piece through the machine, whatever number of passes the heads make to lay the ink down. It is a vendor ceiling measured on one product, one design, no changeovers, so the finished-piece count off the end of the line is always lower. Quote capacity straight off the spec sheet and you overbook the shift.
