Case laminate (casewrap).
a hardcover whose printed cover is wrapped around the boards instead of a dust jacket
A hardcover where the cover artwork is printed on one sheet that is laminated and wrapped round the case boards. The cover file needs more room than a paperback cover. IngramSpark calls these case laminate titles and asks for 0.625 in of bleed on all four sides "for wrapping purposes", against 0.125 in elsewhere. Lulu asks for a 0.75 in safety margin on a hardcover casewrap, against 0.25 in on other covers, and wants the cover as one PDF with back, spine and front. Hardcover casewrap is also where spine width comes from a table, not a formula. The book is case-bound, with the artwork carried on the case itself. Artwork stopped at the paperback bleed leaves the wrap short of the board edge, and text inside the paperback margin sits where the cover folds round the boards.
